DPSS Lasers Inc. Hires New V.P. of Business Development, V.P. of R&D and Sr. Laser Engineer

DPSS Lasers Inc., leading laser manufacturer, continues its expansion by hiring three new employees - Randy Kimball,
Jouni Partanen and Jingang Lui to its team.  

Vice President of Business Development Randy Kimball, brings 30 years of sales, marketing, business development 
and general management experience to this position. Previously, Randy was founder and CEO of Western Digitech, a 
computer sales and service company with seven West Coast offices. He has held senior sales and marketing positions 
with companies ranging from startups to Fortune 500 corporations, including general manager of Sensor Physics and Vice 
President of Sales for LiCONiX. As Global Sales and Marketing Manager, Perkin Elmer Optoelectronics, Medical Illumination 
(PKI) he increased sales more than 350% in three years. Randy attended the University of Texas and holds a degree in 
computer science. 


Jouni Partanen joins DPSS Lasers as Vice President of Research and Development. He has a PhD degree in Physics from 
Helsinki University of Technology. His past experience includes research positions with the Technical Research Centre of
Finland and with the prestigious Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Oxford, UK. Jouni joined University of Southern California
in 1988 as a Post Doc and became a Research Assistant Professor shortly. Since 1994, Jouni has been Engineering Manager 
and Senior Scientist for 3D Systems Inc. in Valencia. 3D Systems is the world leader in Solid Imaging with revenues over 
$100M annually. The technologies developed by 3D Systems use lasers to make 3-dimensional objects automatically from 
computer files. Jouni has been responsible for both laser development and application of lasers in Solid Imaging. 
   
DPSS Lasers has hired Jingang Liu as the Senior Laser Engineer. Jingang brings over eight years experience as a Laser
Engineer, which includes working for several years in Singapore and Korea. He received his PhD in Laser Optics from Beijing 
Institute of Technology in January 1997.
